In the story, " Contents of the Dead Male's Pocket, " the main persona is Jeff Benecke. Because the story moves along, he is up against many decisions. He is forced to act quickly also because of this, several things about him change. In the history, Tom is definitely ambitious, self-centered, and intolerant. These three traits change significantly throughout the story.

Tom is an extremely ambitious person when it comes to his work. He's caught up in getting a promotion coming from work by doing a project. Jeff just focuses on the " big picture, " which is his future, rather than the " little picture, " which is what his wife is doing. This kind of trait improvements at the end if he decides to go to the movies along with his wife. If the paper travelled out the window to get the second time, he noticed that he can the actual paper once again but he can never get back that one certain night this individual could have put in with his wife.

At the beginning, Tom is incredibly self-centered and preoccupied with his work. He finds what he would like to do crucial than what his wife wants to do that night. Once faced with the reality of death, this individual realizes essential his better half is to him. This pushes him being strong and stay in, for her benefit. The only reason he made it in return into his house was because of just how much he cared for her.
